Helsinki City Running Day combines the most important running events of Finland in one day: May 19th 2018. The routes and schedules of these five events have been planned carefully and are now final. 

The biggest change compared with the previous years concerns the Sportyfeel Helsinki City Run Half Marathon, the biggest running event in Finland. The starting time changes from the afternoon to 11:30 A.M. HCR also has a brand-new route!

Don’t do anything new. Race week isn’t the time to try new shoes, new food or drinks, new gear, or anything else you haven’t used on several workouts. Stick with the routine that works for you!

The fastest Finnish half marathon runners are joining the Finland's biggest half marathon in large numbers.

- The faster and flatter route will offer great competition for the fastest runners, says the Event Director Markku Haverinen.

There are many new changes made in this year’s event. The route is flatter and faster than ever before. Women and men series have price money for the first time.

In 2017 Sportyfeel Helsinki City Run Half Marathon will have many new changes: the route is changing the running EXPO where you will pick up the runner’s package is larger and offers programme, too. There are also more spirit lifting cheering points alont the route than ever before. 

The official registration to Helsinki City Run Half Marathon taking place May 13th is officially ending on Saturday April  15th 2017 at 23:59. All runners who register by the official deadline are guaranteed all benefits and a place at the largest half marathon in Finland. Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) board has processed the applications for the Finnish Student Championships 2017 and granted the following rights:

Helsinki City Run and LiiKe Sports & Development collect old running shoes during HCR 2016. The recycled shoes are donated to Tanzanian girl schools in Mtwara-Mikindan region.

The girls in the chosen schools are having many obstacles to continue their studies. Early marriages and the poverty of the families have led to many school dropouts.

Helsinki City Run and LiiKe Sports & Development collect used sneakers and running shoes during HCR 2016. The shoes are donated to Tanzanian girl schools in Mtwara-Mikindan region.

The girls in the chosen schools have had many obstacles to continue their studies. Early marriages and the poverty of the families have led to many school dropouts. LiiKe supports eight middle schools by organizing seminars relating to health education, by arranging village meetings and by supporting the school sport done by girls.

Helsinki City Run has a new route in 2016! The course has been planned based on the wishes of the runners. The new route is more urban than in previous years but has kept its charm with the beautiful seaside, park and forest views. Get familiar with the new beautiful course.
