SAUCONY CONTINUES AS THE MAIN PARTNER OF HELSINKI CITY RUN – A NEW TITLE SPONSOR FOR THE HELSINKI CITY 5
Saucony and the Finnish Athletics Federation (SUL) started their cooperation at Finland’s largest running event, Helsinki City RunnIng Day, in 2024. The parties have now agreed on the extension of their partnership for the next two years 2026-2027 with the renamed Helsinki City Run.
Saucony will continue as one of the main partners of Helsinki City Run. The new cooperation target is the Helsinki City 5, which will be transfer to Friday evening, and Saucony will start as a Title Sponsor with the new cooperation agreement. The new name is Saucony Helsinki City 5.
Saucony Helsinki City Marathon will continue as Saucony’s second Title Sponsor distance for the next two years as well. The cooperation between the parties also includes a lot of different cooperation activities and content outside the event itself. The common goal is, among other things, to get an increasing number of people excited about running and also to participate in running events. The new 5km named distance offers everyone the opportunity to try participating in a running event with a low threshold.
– We are very pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Saucony, which has started well. Saucony has been a very active partner, which, among other things, has brought a lot of good content to previous events for participants and event visitors. We believe that our mutual cooperation will continue to develop in many different ways and benefit the running enthusiasts themselves and the participants of the Helsinki City Run event, says Jari Töykkä, CEO of Finnish Athletics’s marketing company Track & Field Finland Oy.
– As the largest gathering for the running community in Finland, Helsinki City Run is the ideal partner for Saucony. Our goal as a brand is to be a strong positive force for the running community to activate, engage and bring people together and at HCR we are able to do that in the best possible way in the beautiful city of Helsinki. There is immense momentum for both HCR and Saucony and we look forward to continuing to build on this together!”, says Adrian Gehrig, CEO of Gerisale/Saucony Nordics.
