The bag drop is divided by the distances. It is open on event day as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><em>Friday: <\/em>Saucony Helsinki City 5 and City 5 Walk: 7 &#8211; 9.30 pm <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><em>Saturday:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Saucony Helsinki City Marathon: 8.30 a.m. &#8211; 4.30 p.m. (8.30 &#8211; 16.30)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">OP Uusimaa Helsinki City Half: 1 &#8211; 6.30 p.m. (13 &#8211; 18.30)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">The bag drop area will be guarded. For bag drop, you can leave things in your personal, closable bag or backpack, to which a removable bag drop tag from the bib number is attached. The runner must attach the tag to his bag himself with a tie obtained from the race office. You may collect the bag with your bib after the race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">The bag drop is staffed throughout its opening hours, but the organizer is not responsible for lost items. There is no storage for valuables in the event area. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Please allow enough time for visiting the bag drop service!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><strong>Helsinki City Double runners&#8217; bag drop<\/strong> is located inside the Olympic Stadium, on Floor -1. There are temporary toilets in the starting area and along the route in connection with service points, you can see the service points on the route map. In case of a misuse, the runner might be disqualified from the race. The bib number must be attached in front of a shirt and be visible during the whole race. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">The bag drop tag on the side of the bib number must be removed before the race. After the run, if you have used bag drop, you can get your bag by showing your running number.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Bib number pick up<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Each runner picks up the bib number from the race office no later than 1 hour prior to the start time. The bib number can be collected by showing a QR code. The QR code will be\u00a0 sent about a week before the event by email and a few days before the event by text message. When you arrive at the race office, take out the QR code message well in advance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">\u00a0You friend may also pick it up for your with your QR code.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><strong>Timing<br \/><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Valio Helsinki City Run timing system works with bib tag attached to the bib number. Bib number is personal and it cannot be given or transferred to another person for safety reasons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">Net time (time from crossing the starting line to crossing the finish line) and gross time (from firing of the gun to crossing the finish line) will be given for each runner. The\u00a0 results are based on runners\u2019 net times. The certificate demonstrates that the events are committed to managing and developing their environmental efforts in accordance with EcoCompass criteria and to providing environmentally friendly services for event participants.<\/p>\n<p>EcoCompass helps organize and systematically improve environmental practices over an initial period of three years. In addition to already established good practices, this creates new models for organizing an environmentally friendly, high-quality, and responsible event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is how EcoCompass impacts our operations:<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 Race bibs are printed on-site at the event. This way, only the exact number of bibs needed for participants at the starting line are printed, avoiding unnecessary waste. As a result, paper and cardboard waste related to bib distribution is reduced by approximately 90%, and no mixed waste is generated.<br \/>\u2013 Products used in the events are, where possible, ordered from recyclable or environmentally friendly materials.<br \/>\u2013 The event shirt is now available for a fee, allowing us to better estimate the required quantity and reduce shirt-related waste.<br \/>\u2013 The event shirt is made from recycled material.<br \/>\u2013 Most of the printed materials used in the events follow environmental standards (e.g., Nordic Swan Ecolabel).<br
