The Age group is determined by the age on December 31 of the year of the event.<\/p>\n<p>All 40-year-olds automatically race in the General category.<\/p>\n<p>Prize money is awarded only in the general category. The general category prizes are awarded to the first three runners to cross the finish line, regardless of the category. That is, if a person registered in an age category is among the first three at the finish line, he or she will be awarded in the general category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each runner finishing within 6 hours receives a Saucony Helsinki City Marathon finisher medal. A diploma can be printed from your own result page after the official results have been published.<\/p>\n<p>Best male and female runners will be awarded with prize money.\u00a0 In case the winning time goes under 2.20 (men) and 2.40 (women) the winners prize will be raised by 500 euros.<\/p>\n<p>Prize money:<\/p>\n<p>1. 900 EUR<\/p>\n<p>2. 650 EUR<\/p>\n<p>3. 400 EUR<\/p>\n<p>The top 5 runners in the open class and the winner of each age group will be awarded with a special prize.<\/p>\n<p>The top 3 runners of the open class will be awarded directly after the race at the finishing area. Other awarded runners can collect their prizes from the After Race Office at the Olympic Stadium.
