Runners will still enjoy the same seafront scenery, but thanks to new routing we can offer faster and flatter courses.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest change is the change of direction of the HCR and HCM courses. The course now runs clockwise (compared to running counter clockwise the previous years).<\/p>\n<p>The route to the finish becomes more straightforward. All runners will now approach the finish line from the north side of Telia 5 G Areena. Previously marathon and marathon relay runners came in through the southern entrance of the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The renewed marathon course avoids some tight turns near the city centre and thus becomes smoother and more runner friendly.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed course maps will be published later.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There will be some changes to Helsinki City Running Day 2020 race courses.
